The Per Ardua Archery Society promotes the sport of archery among serving and ex-serving members of the Royal Air Force and their dependants.
The Society fulfils this role by encouraging its members to participate in archery both as a hobby and also in competition. Society members compete as individuals and as members of the Society team in competitions against other archery organisations.
The Society is affiliated to the
Grand National Archery Society, the governing body for archery in the United Kingdom and has the same status as a civilian regional archery association.
The day-to-day running of the Society is undertaken by its committee members who are nominated and elected by the membership at the Society's Annual General Meeting. This is held at the Society Indoor Championships every March.
